TK Willis-Finney, MA, LCMHCA

First of all, I’m very appreciative of you checking out my website! Life In Color Counseling, PLLC began as a dream during my first semester in graduate school and finally came to life in 2021. My goal is to create an inclusive space for humans from all walks of life. I have always enjoyed working with people from all racial backgrounds, LGBT people, and people struggling with their body image (things I have dealt with myself!). I also find joy in working with college students dealing with the big life transition into adulthood, new educational and social environments, and identity exploration.
I’m hoping to journey alongside you in your path towards healing. I hope that in our work together, you’ll begin to feel empowered and liberated–because you absolutely deserve to. I know how painful it can be to feel like your concerns or your identities aren’t validated, whether that’s in social, work, school, or healthcare settings. It has always been a dream of mine to give back to folks who have walked similar paths, and help create a more inclusive mental health field for future generations.
I believe that there is always a better version of ourselves waiting to be unveiled. And if you’re reading this right now, chances are, you may think the same way. Whatever your personal goals are, I hope we can work together to get you closer to them than you thought possible. Don’t get me wrong–you’re not going to be successful all the time. You’re not always going to live up to your expectations (where are my perfectionists at?). But therapy can help you learn to roll with life’s disappointments; appreciate the lessons you learn along the way; and become comfortable with being redirected to what’s meant for you.
Along the way, I hope that you can learn to better honor and value yourself (just in case loving yourself doesn’t feel attainable right now); gain a sense of self-worth and pride; push through your social anxiety; fight back thoughts in your head that you or your loved ones would be better off if you didn’t exist; and release and heal shame around your body.
You are incredibly worthy of living a Life In Color. And I’m here to help you believe that, too.
